Description
The objective of this course is to understand how to write a practical computer program for life science data.
More introduction
Computer programming skills are vital for today's molecular biology. To cope with deluge of sequence data, researchers are required to write their own programs from time to time. This course will start with some need-to-know basics of programming languages, and then students will learn how to write computer programs for bioinformatics data analysis. Programming by several basic and popular computer languages, such as Python and R, will be explained in a plain manner, and how to use them for biological sequence data analysis will be taught.
