Description
This advanced lecture is designed for the students who are interested in applying knowledge of genetics and resources of genomics in crop improvement.
More introduction
The topics covered in this course encompass the key elements to understand genetic architecture of the traits such as development of genetic resources and incorporation of the appropriate analytical tools; on the application side, how Mendel genetics, population genetics, quantitative genetics could be integrated in the selection process, how deployment of genomic tools could accelerate the breeding efficiency.
In hands-on session, students will analyze the experimental data and familiarize themselves with the functionality of commonly used software and resources. Take a peek into the lecture:
